Cultural landscape being compared with its natural analog has the greater dynamism, it's especially typical for cultural landscapes of frontier territories. The purpose of the given research is to show the approaches to studying and mapping cultural landscapes on the example of a concrete territory. The historical-geographic analysis has allowed to reveal specificity of wildlife management and change of figure development depending on the historical period of cultural landscape development. Occurring at different times layers reflecting specificity of territory development are imposed on a landscape map. In each subsequent layer the elements inherited from the previous stages of development are especially marked.
