The main methods of celestial bodies orbit determination based on the differential equations of their motion (direct methods) are presented. Modern high-precision positional observations of asteroids, comets, and artificial Earth satellites serve as a data base. Laplace method and its essential modification~--- apparent motion parameters method (which uses the moving trihedral instead of a fixed Cartesian reference frame) are examined in detail.
