The article deals with variants of global communicative strategy of threat that is realized at different stages of the USA primaries by the supporters of Hillary Clinton. It is argued that, besides the opinion leaders such as politicians and journalists, in modern context ordinary readers take an active part in the strategy formation and their role should not be underestimated. It is shown that they not only develop what was introduced by the opinion leaders, but also sometimes correct their mistakes.
