The article is dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the historical Victory of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945. Based on the broad number of historical sources, the authors show objective factors that conditioned the victory of the Soviet army over German fascism. The authors emphasize the inconsistent character of the attempts undertaken by some Western ideologists to diminish the role and the significance of the Soviet Union's contribution to the results of World War II.
