Relying on the German and Czech philological researches the article for the first time in the Russian Slavic studies raises a problem of the reception of the Czech literature and culture in Germany after the Second World War; the author emphasizes the close interest of the German scientists in the Czech identity, Czechia history and culture, identifies the basic scientific papers published in Germany and Czechia in the mentioned period and tries to evaluate their role from the viewpoint of imagology.
