The aim of the work is to study the structure of patients hospitalized in the City Multifield hospital № 2 with glaucoma and the nature of their treatment. Materials and methods: Medical records of 50,000 glaucoma patients hospitalized in the City Multidisciplinary hospital № 2 for the last 20 years have been analyzed. Results: The number, sex distribution and age-specific composition of glaucoma patients hospitalized over the past 20 years are stable at 2,200 to 2,700 persons or 10 - 12% of ophthalmic patients. Primary open-angle glaucoma accounts for at least 80%. Despite the expansion of the list of topical medicines, the introduction of new methods of laser treatment of glaucoma, the number of performed hypotensive operations does not tend to decrease. In the structure of glaucoma surgery, Ahmed valves play an increasing role, effectively reducing IOP in refractory glaucomas.
