The conditions of obtaining iron nanoparticles of a definite and controlled size (0.5-50 nm) on substrate surfaces are established on the base of investigation of surface reactions of silicon containing iron-organic or iron-oxygen groups with (H2, 200-700 °C) reduction agent.
