The nature of media consumption of Russians during the covid-19 pandemic isdetermined. Popular network communication channels and alternative forms of leisure in conditions of self-isolation are considered. The characteristic features of the digital transformation of the Russian media are revealed. The influence of new media on the further development of mass communication processes is predicted.
