The article is devoted to the history of Acadia (a French colony in the Atlantic region of present day Canada) during the governor-ship of Commander Isaac de Razilly (first half of the 1630s). It also analyses Razilly’s theoretical approaches to the colonial policy and his attitude towards perspectives of further French oversea expansion as well as his attempts to realize all these ideas in Acadia, where he dreamed to found New Guyenne ·
