The article presents an attempt to determine the future perspective themes of the study of the guerrilla movement in 1941-1944. the Authors identify the following areas: the problem of unused resources of preparation for the guerrilla war, the problem of occupation of the Soviet Union in the first months of 1941, the history of everyday life, the problem of values of the guerrillas. Opportunities for the development of the historiography of the guerrilla movement are inexhaustible – many problems have not been studied at all, some of them require extensive detail of the characteristics and meanings of the activities of the guerrillas. Appeal to promising areas of guerrilla warfare in the great Patriotic war will present new perspectives on issues of mobilization of resources of the peoples of Russia; will help to identify practical shortcomings in the work with the population in the prewar period and the optimal conditions of the organization of the units of the movement against invaders.
