Political participation is an integral part of civil society. In
particular, the activity of conscious citizens to form a civil society, as
noted by the British political scientist David Held, helps to limit the
power of officials, which further contributes to the development of
democracy, which leads to freedom, and freedom to political equality. This paper examines the topic of political participation against
the background of Constitutional reform in Russia in 2020.
