The review examines the content and structure of historical and journalistic collection of articles “The war was popular...” The book includes little-known pages of the partisan and underground movement in the Leningrad region in the period of the Great Patriotic War (1941-1944). The author analyzes the articles and notes of former guerrillas and intelligence agents, as well as diaries of German soldiers.
