The article provides a retrospective analysis of the 87-year dynamics of soil fertility in arable and fallow lands of the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous District. The productivity of various crops cultivated in the district was studied. Arable land is unevenly distributed in the territory of the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous District; the total productive area is about 4.8%.
