Method of systematic observation gives an opportunity to uncover the mechanisms of family stress and family coping - how appears “contagion with anxiety” and it’s overcoming in family. The type of the child’s sensory defect determines to a considerable extent the specificity of daily family stressors and emotions. The families with blind children were characterized by a greater conflict-proneness inside and outside the family as well as by stronger negative emotions in stressful situations in comparison with the families with deaf children.
