This review is dedicated to the collective monograph «New Zealand and states of East Asia: relations in sphere of politics, economy and culture», written by researchers from Irkutsk State University I. V. Oleynikov, N. N. Puzynya, A. A. Suchkova. In Irkutsk State University was formed the research school for studies of history and contemporary politics of New Zealand. The reviewed monograph can be marked as a new contribution of Irkutsk researchers in New Zealand studies in Russia. In the monograph there was a research of different spheres of relations of New Zealand with Japan, Korea and China from the middle of 19th century to nowadays. The book consists of three chapters, each of which is dedicated to interaction of New Zealand with one of states, mentioned before. The chapters were written by researchers, who were recognized experts in appropriate directions of foreign policy of New Zealand.
