As a result of researching how Belarus performing its obligations as a Contracting State and the outcome of the implementation of the Aarhus Convention, this article discloses positive tendencies in developing the legal system of the Republic of Belarus and marks difficult areas in environmental informing that need to be developed in the future. It is very important to take into consideration Belarusian experience for the Russian Federation in the light of preparation for ratification the Aarhus convention, because it can make this process more efficient.
