The article discusses two free translations of W. Busch's creolized rhymed story “Plish and Plum” made by D. Kharms (1937) and A. Usachev (2011). The analysis shows that the visual component of the story influences on the translation strategies - on the propositional and referential level, on the level of the plot and on the level of creolization and axiology (discussing of educational traditions).
