Genital prolapse is currently one of the urgent problems of modern urogynecology. This pathological condition has a strong tendency to increase, despite the enormous possibilities of conservative and surgical correction. This may be due to the fact that still possible etiological and pathogenetic factors, as well as their anatomical prerequisites, have not been fully revealed and sanctified. In this study special attention is paid to assessing the relationship between the structural features of the bone pelvis and various types of physique in older women suffering from genital prolapse. 120 middle-aged and elderly women were examined, which were evenly divided into two groups: patients suffering from genital prolapse ? the main group (n=60) and the comparison group (practically healthy women, n=60). An anthropometric study was conducted for all women, allowing them to assess their body type by the J. Tanner sexual dimorphism index. Alsomultislice spiral computed tomography was performed, which allows to accurately assess the features of the bone pelvisanatomical structure. As a result of the study, in women with and without genital prolapse the body types were identified, and studied the forms of bone pelvis. According to the normal distribution curve, a mesomorphic body type was encountered most often, less often - gynecomorphic and andromorphic in both the main and control groups. At the same time, in women with gynecomorphic body type, suffering from genital prolapse, the pelvic form widening downward was most common. This fact may indicate the relationship of body type and shape of the pelvis with prolapse of the pelvic organs.
