The situation of the migration crisis in Europe began to take shape in 2014, and its peak fell in the fall of 2015, when huge flows of both legal and illegal migrants fell on European states. Among these states, the main blow was taken by the Federal Republic of Germany, whose government decided to open its borders to asylum seekers. This article analyzes the views of the Russian and English-language media and the expert community on the impact of the migration crisis on the German economy. First, the author will analyze the coverage of the migration crisis and assessments of its impact on the German economy in the English-language press and the expert community. Further, the coverage and assessments of the migration crisis in the Russian media and the expert community will be investigated. In conclusion, the author will summarize the analysis and summarize the findings of the study.
