The paper of our investigation is the analysis of the media role in four Latin American countries (Paraguay, Uruguay, Costa Rica, Guatemala), when they come up with the manipulation in creating the image of Russia in public consciousness. The strategic characteristics research of the media discourse is planned within the framework of the semiotic approach. It is directed at finding of language (mostly morphosyntactic) peculiarities of newspaper political discourse in four countries. The research identified the mostly negative reaction while illustrating the events of foreign politics of Russia.
