The article is devoted to the study of the history of the distributions of the “cher-nososhnye” and the “dvortsovye” lands to the nobility during the reign of Mikhail Romanov. The author shows the changes in land ownership geography of the Boyar and the Court nobility in the first half of the 17th century. The author concluded that the Government's measures to curb the proliferation of landholding nobility in the Southern and North-Western regions of the country have not had great results.
