The article is dedicated to the analysis of I.S. Turgenev's creative work in literary criticism and philosophy of the Silver Age. Topoi as a model of interpretation were selected on the basis of hermeneutic and culturaltypological analyses of books and articles of D. Merezhkovsky, In. Annensky, V. Ivanov, K. Balmont, L. Shestov, M. Gershenzon. These topoi emerged in the process of perception of Turgenev's creative works. Symbolic, existential, metaphysical topoi and topoi of space and nature have an important role. It is concluded that in the cultural context of the Silver Age understanding, a turn was planned to expand the boundaries of the interpretation of Turgenev's creative work and his artistic world. At the turn of the XIXXX centuries, a new line of research appears, which can be defined as topological discourse.
