Complex ecological-biogeochemical investigation was performed in the districts of impact of metal works "Severonikel" and in Monchegorsk-city (Kola Peninsula). The peculiarity of chemical composition of plants and their pollution and changing of vegetation under antropogenic stress are considered. The contents of general forms S and Cu, Zn, Ni, Co, Fe, Mn, Cd, and Pb in plants are determined. The estimation of heavy metal pollution degree is made. The regularities of pollution' accumulation in wild plants (Pinus sylvestris L., Vaccinium myrtillus L., V. vitis-idaea L., V. uliginosum, Ledum palustre L., Betula nana L., Empetrum nigrum L., mushrooms Leccinum auranticum and L. scabrum) are studied. The comparative analysis of changes of plants chemical composition in natural and destroyed territories is conducted. The bio-indication methods of environmental state estimation (taxation scales of necrosises and chlorosises, length of life and length of needles of pine) are used.
