The article reveals the concept of the term «historical memory»
and its role in the formation of the state, development through the use of the
exposition of museums of historical profile. Using the example of the Zoya
museum complex, opened in May 2020 in the village of Petrishchevo near
Moscow, the article reveals the main trends and problems of the formation of
museums dedicated to the Great Patriotic War in the Russian Federation at the
beginning of the XXI century.
