The article is devoted to M. B. Grekov Studio of military artists'activity, which united Soviet and Russian masters of historical painting. The author analyzes the pictures by S. N. Troshin, A. M. Ananyev and other artists dedicated to the military history of Russia. The conclusion is made about the patriotic nature of the Studio's activities and the relevance of studying the paintings of its participants in the educational process of cadets of military universities.
