The article discusses approaches to the definition of a cluster, the classification of clusters by Porter is carried out, the factors of the formation of an industrial furniture cluster in China are studied. A furniture cluster in Guangdong Province was chosen as the object of research. The purpose of the article was to assess the reasons for the formation of a furniture cluster on the territory of Guangdong Province in China. Taking into account the fact that China is the leader in the export of furniture products, and Guangdong Province is the leader in the export of furniture throughout the People's Republic of China, the area of study of the furniture cluster of the Chinese province is relevant. The article considers in aggregate the characteristic features of the development of an industrial cluster, analyzes the synergy effect of all aspects that served to form a synergy of furniture firms, hereinafter referred to as a furniture cluster.
