Graduates of the Higher Women's (Bestuzhevsky) Courses in St. Petersburg-Petrograd represented the first generations of Russian women chemists. They belonged to various scientific chemical schools. Worked in a variety of sectors of domestic industry. But during the years of military upheaval (the First World War and the World War II specially), united, because in addition to professional duty, they had a sense of friendly elbow, to the detriment of their own well-being and health, worked at the enterprises and industries of the besieged Leningrad in order to bring closer the great Victory Day of the Soviet people over the enemy. They made a number of discoveries in chemical science, launched chemical preparations into production, and made technological rationalization proposals. This article is dedicated to the memory of these bright personalities.
