The article is devoted to a rather urgent problem at the moment - the European sanctions against Russia in connection with the escalation of the Ukrainian crisis, which began in February 2014 and continues to this day. This article discusses the sanctions (often very illogical) actions of France against Russia under the presidential terms of Francois Hollande and Emmanuel Macron. The author comes to the conclusion that France can not give up economically disadvantageous anti-Russian sanctions, as its policy is directly dependent on the European foreign policy developed by the European Union.
