The article describes the current global trends in the world economy. The analysis of the
legal regulation of the European Union, the Russian Federation in the conditions of digitalization and greening on the basis of the legislation of the European Union, the Russian Federation, scientific articles and scientific and practical publications was carried out. Recommendations were proposed for the stable and sustainable development of the fuel and energy complex, its legal regulation and management of natural resources.
