Review analyses educational-methodical complex “History and theory of parties and party systems” of professor B. A. Isaev published by Harvard Business Press. This complex includes four tutorials and reflects the contents of five training courses that B. A. Isaev reads to students in the past twenty years: “The history of the parties”; “The theory of the parties”; “Party systems Theory”; “Party-political system of leading foreign countries”; “The party and the party system in contemporary Russia”. These training courses form an important subdiscipline of modern political science - the knowledge about parties.
