The article presents and analyzes the contents of the monograph of Professor Z.K. Tarlanov “Russian literary language, Pushkin period: the formation of the critical-journalistic style”. The monograph is classified as valuable and relevant for historical Russian studies research. Noted the great contribution of the author in historical stylistics, the theory of norm-formation of the Russian literary language.
