Regulatory Impact Assessment is a new technology introduced into the public administration system, as a reflection of both administrative reforms and the general trend on regulating of decision-making process. It means the involvement of the population: the public, experts, business representatives - to assess the existing legal acts and expertise of offered acts. The article is written by experts on the Regulatory Impact Assessment in the government of the Leningrad region. It announces foreign experience, the identification of current practice features in our country and transition to a new methodology of region regulatory impact assessment's activity estimation which will be adopted in 2018.
