The study of the properties of buried soils is an important aspect of assessing the dynamics of the natural environment in the Late Holocene. Medieval barrow groups are widespread in the North-West of the Russian Plain. Mounds are anthropogenic inflammation of daytime soils. A selection of American and physicochemical methods with statistical data allows a more accurate assessment of changes in the trend of pedogenesis after soil burial. Differences in a number of mesomorphological and physicochemical parameters between buried and background soils were revealed
