The article discusses the conceptual framework of a new round of informational confrontation that began after the Crimean Peninsula became the part of Russiaand intensified by the situation on the 2016 US presidential election. The author analyzes two categories: “malign influence” and “resilience”, their role in the US political attitude to Russia, as well as the role of public diplomacy in their implementation. As a result, the paper highlightsthat the new conceptual frameworkhas consolidated US public diplomacy in Europe and Central Asia and has made it even more anti-Russian.
