The article discusses the concept of mythologeme and its influence on the reader's perception of a literary text. On the basis of an example from the French novel by the modern author Mark Levy, it is reflected how exactly the writer can build a dialogue "author - reader" due to the universal mythology of the Way, "push" to reflection,search for hidden meaning, make the reader predict the further course of the plot, or vice versa, deceive the reader's expectations,sending him on the wrong track.
