In this article, we study the reflection of the events of the McCarthyism epoch (1950-1954) in the Soviet press. The author analyzes the Soviet press’ attitude to Senator McCarthy and his allies’ activity and its influence on the domestic historical studies regarding American domestic policy in the second half of the 20th century. Based on this study, the author makes a conclusion about the continuity of this reflection in Soviet and contemporary Russian historiography.
