It is known that children who have had the experience of living in orphanages at an early age have difficulties interacting with their parents after being transferred to substitute families and need high-quality support from support services. The purpose of this study is to study the characteristics of the interaction between mothers and children in substitute families participating in "ABC", a science-based early intervention program. The group of substitute families included 23 child-close adult couples divided into two subgroups; families who participated in the ABC program (n=14) and families who received one specialist consultation (n=9). The ORCE method (Orce: NICHD Early Child Care Research Network, 1996) was used to evaluate the characteristics of the mother-child interaction. It was determined that the sensitivity to the child's signals significantly increases with mothers who participated in the ABC program, and intrusive (interfering) behavior decreases in comparison with the initial indicators. There were no significant differences in interaction characteristics among families who received one consultation.
