The subject of this paper is to focus on what the meaning of experience can be used for introducing the concept of aesthetic experience. The author underlines that most of the theories of aesthetic experience is aimed at identifying the essence of "aesthetic", ignoring the notion of experience. To develop the idea, the author introduces a tentative definition of experience, tracing the way in which its components are related to the concept of aesthetic experience. As a result, the author concludes that there are at least three meanings of the concept of experience that fit to the analysis of aesthetic experience. Based on this analysis, the author comes to a conclusion about the role of the individual and the representation of experience in the concept of aesthetic experience.
