This article is devoted to the problem of determination of place and importance of archetypical images in the story by a Hungarian writer Mikszáth Kálmán “Two Beggar-Students”. The article deals with archetypes of a road and mother, their influence on plot formation mechanisms of narration, and also motifs and images which occur in the text along with the archetypes.
