The paper presents a comparative analysis of Russian and English neologisms created during
the eventive situation “Coronavirus Pandemic”. New ironic, humorous and slang words found
in Russian and English dictionaries and glossaries have been studied and compared by their
morphological and stylistic characteristics, word-formation models, and thematic groups.
