Recognition of the important role of the psychosexual sphere in the system of significant relationships of the individual, as well as in the processes of its formation, development, adaptation and maladaptation makes it obvious the need for targeted and differentiated study of its characteristics in patients with neuroses. The aim of this study was to identify and analyze the relationship of sexual identity and gender role behavior with the mechanisms of psychological protection and coping strategies. 94 women with neurotic disorders and 50 women without mental disorders were examined. Research methods: “Life style index” (“Life style index” - LSI), “Ways of coping behavior” (“The Ways of Coping Questionnaire” - WOSQ), “Semantic differential”, “Methods of diagnostics of gender role behavior accentuation”.
