The article deals with the main content of methodological training at the International Summer Qualification School "Modern Pedagogical Technologies in
Teaching Russian as a Foreign Language", which was held annually at Varna
Free University “Chernorizets Hrabar” in 2009-2019. The lecturers focused on
the productive innovative technologies in teaching Russian as a foreign language: project technology, film technology, excursional technology, etc. These
technologies were mastered by students not only at lectures, but also in practical activities. The attempt to rationalize the experience of organizing this qualification school led to the formation of the foundations of the theory of indirect teaching of Russian as a foreign language.
