The article deals with the problematic issues of preparing and assigning forensic examinations to study the motivation of criminal activity of extremist orientation and evaluating the conclusions of experts. Attention is paid to the shortcomings of forensic examinations of a humanitarian nature, which creates difficulties in assessing the completeness and comprehensiveness of the study and the objectivity of the process of forming judicial evidence in criminal cases.
