The article discusses the problem of energy transfer with an emphasis on the comparative analysis of changes that took place under its impact in the structures of energy balances in Russia, the European Union, China and the USA, as well as with regards to global trends. The analysis shows that despite the arguments of insufficiency of efforts that Russian invests in energy transfer, the share of fossil fuel in the structure of its energy balance is lower in comparison to the European Union and the USA, whereas the share of the transition fuel (which, according to the present-day taxonomy, includes nuclear energy and national gas) is even higher. Electric energy balance of the country can also be considered competitive on the global level. In studying the share of renewable energy in the structure of the energy balance, the authors put an accent upon solar and wind electric power generation in the context of the energy transfer. The article evaluates measures for legal and financial support of energy transfer currently undertaken in Russia.
