N2 - Biochemical features of domestic fungi strains from the BIN RAS basidiomycetes culture collection were studied. Verification of the strains by molecular methods showed that 6 out of the 27 studied strains were not related to domestic fungi. Cellulosolytic (CA), proteolytic (PA) and acid producing (AA) activity of 14 strains belonging to 5 species and 5 genera of basidiomycetes were studied in experiments on various nutrient media. All the studied strains produced cellulolytic activity. The highest activity was detected for the strains Coniophora puteana (LE-BIN 001) and Serpula lacrymans (LE-BIN 1192). It was found that for the majority of strains the highest CA was observed on the 2nd week of growth. Most of the strains showed PA (gelatin as substrate) which may have additional significance for the development of domestic fungi in anthropogenic environment. High PA had all Coniophora puteana strains, as well as Gloeophyllum sepiarium (LE-BIN 2059, LE-BIN 3412) and Serpula lacrymans after 72 hours of incubation at 25°C. The highest AA was revealed for domestic fungi Coniophora puteana, Serpula lacrymans and Antrodia xantha, which are known as the most dangerous destructors of commercial timber. The degree and dynamics of AA vary depending on the composition of the nutrient medium and the individual strain characters. As a result of metabolic profiling, more than 100 different compounds were found in mycelium of the domestic fungi strains from which 60 compounds were identified. The obtained data indicate a high similarity of the metabolic profiles in composition of the identified compounds, although specific metabolites were also found in the mycelium of several species. Regularities in the biosynthesis of metabolites associated with the the period of strains maintaining in the collection were established.
