Memory Studies are a field of research that has expanded over the last few years. Their goal is to extend to social reality the possibility of making interdisciplinary analysis. Urban studies investigate the manifold images of the cities in order to promote new approaches to resolve the problem of the future intercultural and intergenerational dwelling nested in the activity of architects and urban designers, politician and citizens in their everyday practices: they are obligated to design our future spaces in a straight correspondence to present “city text”. The report considers not only the viewpoints of Jacques Derrida, Michel Foucault, Aldo Rossi, Yuri Lotman, Jean Nouvel, but also the philosophy of the City, thought of philosopher Maurizio Ferraris and other contemporary researchers who believe that the architecture is the documentation of social reality. The content of the presented study focuses on the analysis of the effects of the urban environment as a visual communication between generations.
