The article examines Bulgarian sentences of anti-purpose with the conjunction “за да” (“in order to”), i.e. the sentences which are formed by the conjunction of purpose but do not express the meaning of purpose. The author describes the basic semantic types of sentences of anti-purpose in the Bulgarian language: with the meaning of temporal succession, opposition, causative meaning. The paper identifies their structural peculiarities and analyzes the basic contexts of using the sentences of anti-purpose in a literary text.
