The article concerns the problem of teaching the basics of excursion work in a museum in the course of training personnel for the museum sphere. The absence in modern Russia of educational literature devoted to the specifics of the museum excursion is noted. The author has developed an annotated structure of the original study course "Excursion work" for students, specialized in the museology. The course includes three main sections: "Excursion in the museum and its methodological support”, “Guide and visitor in the museum”, “Guide among the guides in the museum".
