This paper is devoted to the problem of the link between political
emotions, which remained the marginal one for the previous studies due to a number of theoretical reasons. The case of the Russian official discourse of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War provides us with the empirical evidence to distinguish three forms of link between political emotions: the complementary link is expressed through the credo “pride with tears in our eyes”; within the compensatory link, disgust for the enemy is opposed to admiration for the heroesdefenders of the Fatherland; finally, coherent link is manifested in calls for national and international solidarity.
