The article deals with some morphosyntactic features of the Milanese dialect of the Lombard area of Italy (Meneghino) associated with compressive word formation. Lexical units, formed by two models of fusion or omission of components, indicate the characteristic features of one of the main dialects of Northern Italy as being compared with the Italian literary language.
